Thanks. I don't have a fuge on this nano cube. A hang on would only work on the back, so you'd need plenty of room behind the tank. You could plumb a refugium inline though by putting the pump/powerhead and return flow in one of the back compartments.

The chiller makes very little noise (to me anyway) and I'm sitting about 2 - 3 feet away from it as I type this. It sounds like a small fridge kicking on. Yes it's louder than the 4 fans in the nano cube's hood. I can't hear those at all, maybe I need my hearing checked??? Lol.

Nice tank and good setup step by step description.

I have this nano and want to setup a refuge but haven't really found or created a design I like.
If you decide to set up a refug on the nano only, I will be looking forward to seeing your design.

Also, how much noise does the chiller make? Is it louder than the 4 fans in the hood? I agree with the temp. swing being abit much but also don't really care to wreck the serenity with more noise.

Hi Shari - yes, the JBJ is a very nice for setting up a nano reef. About the only drawback is when coralline algae grows in the corners of the cube. It gets kind of difficult to scrape that stuff away carefully when it gets in the corners.

I was looking for something better than Aqua Pod and BioCube for setting up a nano reef and discovered the JBJ on the internet. It's nice to hear that someone has bought one and is happy with it. We're going to put in our order soon.
